I wrote !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about the dealer that sends us beat-up sports cars. They sell them cheap, so at least the buyers know what they’re getting. And they have some higher-end stuff in the showroom because they’re not scumbags.
Anyway, this is the Z car I was talking about Friday:
And here’s the inside:
With that said, if it were to go up for sale at $6000 or so I’d talk to my wife about a second car...

That’s a lot less hideous than I expected, and less hideous than the factory orange interior (which looked more like a tangerine than the pumpkin that is)

Orange/tan leather is best leather.

That would make a very nice car. I feel the 350z is slow and heavy enough that the convertable would just feel like a natural evolution.

If it were me I’d go with the 608 Pumpkin:
It’s almost exactly the same shade as the newer 370Z’s “Persimmon” interior.

I agree, as that’s a bit more subtle. Could be worse, but it’s not as bad as that 200 you posted a while back...

Are at liberty to disclose the name of the dealer? I'm curious to see their inventory.

Godspeed Motors in Charlotte. They’re really cool guys. Their pricing is pretty fair, and they seem to specialize in mid-2000s German Luxury Sports, with some interesting exceptions.
They tend to send us stuff that has ripped up factory leather if we have a set for it. We did seat heaters in a Range Rover Evoque:
leather in an NC Miata
an NB miata,
and this crazy S2000:

Very nice. They have a pretty good site. Although a bit liberal with the "call for price" thing, plenty of nice stuff.

Might have to give them a look over when my E46 has to go. Not too far down the road. Seems like they carry some decent stuff.

That's on every car that's sold. For some reason it takes a day or five to get them to remove sold vehicles from their website.

The Charlotte area has a few dealers like them - that specialize in specialty used vehicles. Cosmo Motors , Metrolina Auto Group , and iNetwork Auto all have that same niche.

Wow, I live 5 minutes from that place and pass it on the way to work everyday. Hello, local Jalop!

The shop where I work is a pretty good place for leather interior - so if you want to dress up your MR2 or Mustang... Give us a call.
